Dr. Uri Nachshon is a soil scientist at the Institute of Soil, Water, and Environmental sciences-Volcani Center. His research interests include soil degradation: Salinization and erosion, impact of agricultural activities on soil quality, sustainable agriculture. Dr. Nachshon expertise in the field of soil salinization, solutes transport and salt precipitation in porous media. Over the recent years Uri have published several papers about soil salinization and erosion processes from the pore scale to field scale.

报告人简介：

Dr. Guy Jonathan Levy is a soil Scientist at the Institute of Soil, Water and Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Research Organization, The Volcani Center of Israel. His main research interests include: (i) soil-structure stability indicators and their dependence on soil properties and conditions prevailing in the soil; (ii) Soil sodicity and salinity; (iii) Irrigation with treated waste water and land application of waste material: impact on soil structure; (iv) Use of soil amendments (e.g., phosphogypsum, polymers) for improving soil-structure stability. Dr Levy has published over 130 peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters and trained 25 students and post-doctoral fellows.
