Strock is a Professor in the Department of Soil, Water and Climate of University of Minnesota. Prof. Strock obtained his BS in University of Wisconsin (1993), MSc. in Oregon State University (1995), and and PhD in North Carolina State University (1999). Prof. Strock’s research area includes soil physics, biogeochemistry, contaminant hydrology and water quality. Prof. Strock wined the Fellow of Soil and Water Conservation Society (2017). Prof. Strock was the associate editor and editorial board member for Soil Science Society of America Journal, Canadian Journal of Soil Science. Prof. Strock undertakes more than 50 research and training grants, and published around 100 journal articles and book chapters. 内容简介:Sustainable intensification of agriculture will be necessary in order to increase crop production to feed a growing global population. Achievable results will warrant improvements in on-farm soil, water and plant management. In southern Minnesota, co-limitation of water and nutrients are two of the most important factors driving yield variability both spatially and temporally. Increasing crop production on existing agricultural land by managing water and nutrients more efficiently and in turn placing less pressure on the environment is an important part of the solution. The aim of this project is to understand the complex interactions among soil, water, nutrients, and plants in order to quantify the individual and cumulative impacts of select in-field, edge-of-field and beyond-the-field/in-stream management practices on water quantity and water quality for a small watershed. 联系人:熊云武 副教授 beat365体育官方网站beat365体育官方网站 E-mail: yxiong@cau.edu.cn |
