内容简介:

Part 1. The development of varieties and hybrids of field crops and horticultural crops that are subject to tolerance for environmental stress conditions; Part 2. Geophysical techniques provide a non-invasive and cost-effective technology for soil survey and monitoring based on innovative sensors, advanced algorithms for 2D and 3D imaging, and new technologies for field surveying allowing assessment of soil properties at the management scale with some case studies in Egypt.

 

研究领域:

1- Designate the breeding programs experiments and statistically analyzed the data recorded and how to use the information stored in these databases for plant breeding programs.

2- Inducing genetic variability’s by using physical and chemical mutagens and selecting the more adapt genotypes to stress conditions after estimating, variance, heritability and the other suitable genetic parameters for yield and yield components of such genotypes.

3- Application of breeding and genetic procedures on field crops under desert conditions, emphasis on increasing tolerance to environmental stress (drought, salinity, heat, disease,  … etc.) and improving yielding ability and quality for use in fooding and feeding at new reclaimed area and marginal or desertification lands.

4- Conducting crosses by hybridization to transfer or accumulate the major genes controlling salt and drought tolerance in some field crops (faba been, wheat, barley, sorghum, chickpea, millet…. etc.)
