报告人简历：Prof. Alex Furman is the director of the Stephen and Nancy Grand Water Research Institute of Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and adjunct professor at University of Waterloo, Canada. Prof. Furman is Chair of Israel Society of Soil Sciences. Prof. Furman is also the associate editors of Irrigation Science, Vadose Zone Journal. Prof. Furman received his BSc. and MSc. degrees in Agricultural Engineering from Technion, and PhD degree in Hydrology and Water Resources from University of Arizona.

Prof. Furman’s research areas include vadose zone and groundwater hydrology, hydro-geophysics and soil physics. Prof. Furman has supervised more than 30 PhD and MSc students as a promotor and/or Co-promotor. Prof. Furman has published more than 60 journal articles and book chapters.
